GODLINESS WILL TRANSFORM OUR LOSS INTO GREAT GAIN AND MAKE US THANKFUL

These words of Job bares a man with an impenetrable INNER PEACE that becomes the bedrock of a genuine THANKFUL SPIRIT. That explains why his FAITH is INDESTRUCTIBLE and accounts for God’s pleasure upon him. God was so confident with his servant’s faithfulness that He allowed such tragedies to assault and test him for a while knowing that he’ll overcome them. And Job never disappointed.PEACE bearing the fruit of THANKFULNESS. That is the key to a GRATIFIED, GODLY and GROUNDED life.
How is this possible? Simple.
Job always believed that EVERYTHING IN HIS LIFE BELONGS TO THE HEAVENLY MASTER. He is just a grateful steward given with an amazing privilege to enjoy the things of this earthly journey. He always feel blessed. In whatever circumstances. Every time he tastes food. Inhales air. Feels the sun’s warmth. Hug the kids. Wakes up at dawn. Labor in his fields. Even in death, he will BLESS his God. Day after day he wonders how God can be so kind to him as he enjoys all these blessings. That is why he is consistently THANKFUL. He knows that this earthly pilgrimage will last. And he will return to the Gracious Master who is the source and possessor of all the favors bestowed upon him in this life. This conviction gave him such an ABIDING PEACE. That’s why God can take anything from his life anytime and Job will remain content with an inner tranquility. Thats what makes this pilgrim UNDEFEATABLE. He is free from the curse of possessiveness and the destructive slavery of selfishness – the vicious monsters that condemn us to become unhappy, miserable and hateful.

Browse the social media or listen to news or hear people talk today, and its impossible to miss the incessant spouts of COMPLAIN, CRITICISM and CURSES due to discomfort, deprivation and deficiency. They reveal the ugly face of DISCONTENT and CONCEIT. Seldom you sense PEACE. Rarely you observe a THANKFUL spirit. We act as if we have the right to everything we need and want. And we always want more than we truly deserve.
James said: “What CAUSES quarrels and what CAUSES fights among you? Is it not this, that YOUR PASSIONS ARE AT WAR WITHIN YOU?’ (James 4:1)
Man will always discover his true self when he has nothing. God allowed this pandemic to furnish the world a real view of what is truly within our souls. I believe that the divine goal is to make the self-dependent materialistic humanity find out how vulnerable they are in their own nakedness. Only those with contentment in God will gain greatly. Even in a pandemic, they are secured and satisfied. Why? Because even if we lose so much in this world, we’ll still have so much in God that can never be lost. For eternity.
1 TIMOTHY 6:6-7
Now there is GREAT GAIN in GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT, for we BROUGHT NOTHING into the world, and we CANNOT TAKE ANYTHING OUT OF THE WORLD.
