WHY ARE THE GLORIFYING OF GOD AND THE ENJOYMENT OF GOD JOINED TOGETHER AS THE HIGHEST PURPOSE OF HUMANITY?

• Because God has inseparably joined the two together. Man cannot truly desire and seek the one without the other.
• Those who depend on God in this life and enjoy both His gracious presence and the manifestations of His love are the men and women who truly desire and are delighted in glorifying God.
• In other words, the men and women who inwardly have the highest estimation of God, the highest confidence in God, and the strongest affections for God, are those in whose lives God is most glorified.
• Those who acknowledge God according to His revelations and whose lips show forth God’s praise, those who sincerely endeavor the exalting of God’s Name, those who promote the interest of His kingdom in the world, those who yield in worship and obedience to Him which He had prescribed in His written Word – these are the men and women who truly delight and desire the Living God.

How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising
