After several days of prayers and reflection, a group of Christians in Zamboanga City decided to meet together in July 5, 2010 to decide on the idea of being organized as an independent church and chart out future plans if necessary. The meeting resulted in the group deciding that the church will be organized as an independent congregation in Zamboanga City and requesting Pastor Jesus M. Remorosa Jr. to be the congregation’s minister in charge.

After some time, it was decided that the congregation be supervised by a newly formed Leadership Board that also includes the Pastor. On August 6, 2010, the majority members of the Board have chosen “Cornerstone Community Church” as the official name of the ministry.On February 2011, the ministry organized 80 people into small groups of cells called “LIFETEAMS”. Each Lifeteam is facilitated and led by team leaders referred to as “COACHES (SHEPHERDS)”. It was on the same month that the ministry was restructured as a “An Assembly of House Churches”.

On March 23, 2011, Administrative positions were elected to oversee the financial, property administration and personnel aspect of the church. The Church Council whose composition includes the coaches of the Lifeteams and to whom the responsibility of Church Leadership and oversight belong, was formed. The Lord was continually blessing the ministry as it moves forward to greater scope and challenges. August 3, 2011 marked a milestone for the church when the Securities and Exchange Commission finally approved its incorporation. It was then that the church is legally named as ZC Cornerstone Community Church, Inc.
